PodTech Announces Premier of PodSummit

Podcast Show Co-Hosted by Prominent Computer Industry Veterans Bud Colligan and Mike Boich

PodSummit Showcases Leaders of Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship

MENLO PARK, CA (April 20, 2006) PodTech, a media company dedicated to podcasting and delivering Fresh Voices for the iPod generation, today announced the premier of a new weekly series called PodSummit. PodSummit is PodTech’s first 3rd party podcast since the company announced the formation of its InfoTalk Network of media properties in March 2006.

Under the PodSummit brand, venture capitalists Bud Colligan, a partner of Accel Partners, and Mike Boich, a partner of InterWest Partners, will host a weekly podcast series with leaders in technology, and entrepreneurship. The first podcast is available at www.podtech.net and will be featured on PodTech.net, Yahoo Podcasts, and Apple iTunes.

“Mike and I are excited about creating a forum for sharing ideas, experiences, and passion for innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Bud Colligan, co-host of PodSummit. “We hope PodSummit will evolve into a crucial platform for leaders and entrepreneurs to engage on important technological, social and community topics,” Colligan added.

The first guests on PodSummit are Ron Conway and Shelby Bonnie. Ron Conway is the well known uber angel’ investor in Silicon Valley and is most recognized for his investments in Google, Ask Jeeves, and Brightmail. In the PodSummit podcast, Conway comments on what he seeks in a startup technology investment and about his best and worst investments. Shelby Bonnie is the CEO and Chairman of CNET Networks, a leading online media company. During the 30 minute interview, Bonnie delves into what is happening in the media business, what media models are working today, and the evolution of CNET Networks from start-up to the leader in interactive media.

Releasing this show is an example of PodTech executing on its strategy. About Co-Hosts Bud Colligan and Mike Boich

Bud Colligan and Mike Boich have been friends and colleagues for more than 20 years. As former entrepreneurs, CEOs, and currently venture investors, Colligan and Boich bring a unique perspective to the topics of entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.

Colligan and Boich believe it will be fun and informative to share their insights and those of their guests on PodSummit with other entrepreneurs and investors worldwide. They will draw on their vast network of colleagues and friends with whom they have been associated over the last 20 years. Colligan and Boich worked in Apple Computer’s Macintosh Division, helping to create and market the groundbreaking Macintosh personal computer. Mr. Colligan was CEO of Macromedia, which he took public in 1993 and built to more than $100M in sales. In 1998, Bud joined Accel Partners, a leading venture capital firm in Palo Alto, CA. He has been a board member and investor in such industry leading companies including CNET Networks, S3 Corporation, and Brightmail (acquired by Symantec). Bud is active in the community as co-founder and Chairman of Pacific Community Ventures, board member at OICW, and member of the Board of Regents of Georgetown University.

Mike Boich was the first software evangelist for the Macintosh in 1982. He has more than 20 years experience in the hardware, semiconductor and software industries and has been the founding CEO of three companies, Radius, Rendition and Eazel. Mike took Radius public in 1990 and it grew to more than $100M in sales. He developed Rendition into a leading player in the graphics market and sold it to Micron Technology. Boich is a Partner at InterWest Partners, a leading venture capital firm in Menlo Park, CA. He is active in the community as a board member of Lenders for Community Development.
